Future Retail - Touch and Throw App
At the Saudi Event Show in 2019, Eventagrate needed an interactive and attractive way to display their extensive portfolio as well as the future of retail applications. The Touch and Throw application allows users to control content on multiple screens using a single touch screen, enabling the simultaneous viewing of multiple portfolio videos. The setup includes one central control touch screen and four larger screens arranged in an "L shape" around it.
The prototype began with a central touch screen featuring four "drop points" with unique IDs. By using OSC signals and animation, the interface creates the illusion that dragging and dropping content onto a drop point transfers the content to the corresponding larger screen. These drop points can be positioned adjacent to the large screens, enhancing the user experience. The application was branded with Eventagrate's design, allowing visitors to interactively distribute content across multiple digital surfaces. A button on the screen switches between "portfolio mode," which displays videos, and "product mode," showcasing 3D models of luxury products and their specifications. The application is scalable, adaptable for larger displays like immersive rooms or retail outlets as a product selection catalogue.
